Township villages include Rowes Run, Republic, Allison, Chestnut Ridge, Fairbank, Cardale, Royal, Merrittstown, and Herbert. ==History== The Brier Hill, Peter Colley Tavern and Barn, Johnson-Hatfield Tavern, Hugh Laughlin House, and Wallace-Baily Tavern are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
